A Home Designed to Reflect the People Who Live There
Some homes are beautiful. Others tell a story. This home became both.
When our clients came to us, they weren’t simply looking for updated finishes or a more functional layout. They wanted a home that felt deeply personal. A place where nature, creativity, spirituality, and gathering could coexist. Every room needed to support the way their family actually lived while reflecting the values that mattered most to them.
What made this project even more meaningful was who we partnered with to bring it to life.
During the renovation, homeowner Jeff launched his own general contracting company, making this home his very first large-scale construction project. Rather than the traditional client-contractor relationship, this became a true collaboration. Jeff led the construction while our team guided the design, materials, finishes, and overall vision, working side by side from concept through completion.
The result is a home that represents not only years of dreaming, but also the beginning of a new chapter for their family and business.
Where It All Began
With the design finalized, construction officially began.
Because Jeff was acting as the general contractor, this project became an ongoing dialogue not just between client and designer but between builder and designer. Details were refined in real time, custom solutions were developed together, and every decision was made with both craftsmanship and function in mind.
Throughout construction, we remained involved, reviewing progress, answering design questions, sourcing materials, and ensuring every element stayed true to the original vision.
Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes.

The Finished Home
Months of planning, collaboration, craftsmanship, and countless design decisions all led to this.
The completed home feels layered, collected, and deeply intentional. Organic materials, warm walnut cabinetry, handcrafted lighting, natural stone, earthy greens, and curated objects work together to create spaces that feel grounded without sacrificing function.
Every room was designed to support the family’s lifestyle, whether that’s gathering around the kitchen island, displaying meaningful collections, creating moments of pause, or simply making everyday routines feel more beautiful.
The finished result isn’t just a remodel.
It’s a home that finally feels like them.
More Than a Remodel
At Lund Haus Studio, we believe great design isn’t about following trends. It’s about creating spaces that reflect the people who live in them.
This project is a perfect example of what happens when thoughtful design, intentional collaboration, and skilled craftsmanship come together. We were honored to help bring this family’s vision to life and to play a small part in the very first project of Jeff’s growing construction company.
It’s a home filled with personality, purpose, and stories that will continue to unfold for years to come.
