Kelly, We’re Not in Utah Anymore! A project that leans into bold color, thoughtful contrast, and a refined sense of fun. Inspired by our client’s love of Kelly Wearstler’s adventurous style, this home gave us the perfect opportunity to take risks and fully lean into layered, confident design.
From patterned wallpaper and rich finishes to unexpected shapes and silhouettes, this project reflects everything we love: bold textures, daring choices, and deeply intentional styling. Our client trusted the process—and the result is a space that’s both personality-packed and practical for family life.
Before Photos
Before we started, the home felt like a blank canvas, large spaces lacking personalized character. Think white walls, standard fixtures, and lots of open potential.
Here’s a look at where we started:
A Space That Dares to Go Bold
The kitchen was completely transformed into the heart of the home, styled with sculptural drama and standout materials. We wrapped the island and backsplash in Calacatta Viola marble, which instantly adds depth and dimension. Deep navy cabinetry brings warmth and contrast, while brass fixtures and statement lighting elevate the space with a touch of glam. To balance all that boldness, we brought in woven counter stools and organic styling details that help soften the look and make it feel inviting.
A Bathroom with Bite
The bathroom was an opportunity to do something unexpected and we took it. Columbia Plateau tile lines the entire room, giving it a moody, jewel-box feel. A floating vanity, thick stone countertop, and an unforgettable serpent mirror finish it off with edge and elegance.
A Bedroom Written in the Stars
This room is one of three boys’ bedrooms in the house and was designed specifically for two of the five brothers to share. We started with constellation wallpaper as a foundation, then layered in twin metallic beds, zebra-print pillows, and brass sconces to give it a collected, cool vibe. The mix of materials and vintage-style art adds personality without feeling too themed.
A Court That Brings The Heat
We designed a custom Michael Jordan-inspired basketball court that brings serious energy to the home. From the signature red, black, and white palette to the personalized court markings, every detail nods to the legacy of the GOAT. We added custom wall graphics and bold lighting to make the space feel more like an underground arena than a typical rec room. It’s a place to play hard, hang out, and fuel that competitive edge; all without leaving home.
